Researchers from Carnegie-Mellon's university and company Intel have declared the termination of works above technology which is capable to accelerate data transmission in networks on 30-70 %.
Technics Similarity-Enhanced Transfer (SET) is based that practically all files have the certain quantity of the parts similar to others, that is are interchangeable. Researchers have suggested to split up each required file for set of slices, and then to carry out search not onl this file, but also "spare parts" identical to it from others. For this purpose the technology of " prints of fingers " and banal, but effective tags is used.
During demonstration of opportunities SET even in "usual" networks the trailer to film was possible download on 30 %, and the mp3-file and at all on 70 % is faster. It is especially effective SET when the file is poorly widespread or only its transfer and sources in the Network has begun few.
The command of developers is not going to patent the way thought up by them and hopes, that interested persons as soon as possible will embody it in the products.
